This grant is to be used for an educational project that promotes knowledge of any facet of Eduardo Chillida’s work. The project will consist of a workshop for the 8-12 year old age group. Through various sessions of highly practical activity, the children will learn about Eduardo Chillida’s creative artistic process. The project must link Eduardo Chillida’s work in some way with music.
Candidates:
Graduates or students on advanced courses of Fine Art, Art History, Pedagogy or similar and people with proven experience in the aforementioned fields of knowledge can apply. Candidates can apply as individuals or in a group.
Deadlines:
. Presentation of the rough draft (maximum of 15 pages): 30th of April 2009.
. Decision of the jury: 15th of May 2009.
Selection criteria:
The panel made up of the Chillida-Leku Museum Management and the Technical Staff of the Education Department will be taking the following criteria into account:
Student record.
. Curriculum Vitae.
. Project: among other things, the originality of the proposal and how well it meets the aims of the Foundation will be judged especially favourably.

Characteristics of the project:
So that the project draft can be assessed, it must at the very least have the following points: Aims, Theoretical framework, Methodology, Contents, Assessment system, Communication Plan and Budget.
The project will be carried out on the premises of the Chillida-Leku Museum although the Foundation will be able to decide whether it can be adapted to a different framework.
The Foundation will be able to make any changes in the original project to tailor it to meet its educational activities.
To prepare and carry out the project, the recipient of the grant will use the installations and resources of the Chillida Leku Museum and will work together with the staff at the museum.
Value of the grant:
The grant is worth 5000€ and is distributed as follows:
. Conceiving, designing, preparing and monitoring the activity: 2000€ (Fixed sum when the complete project is handed in)
. Costs of implementing the project: 2000€ (direct payments to properly justified suppliers)
. Costs of promoting the project: 1000€ (direct payments to properly justified suppliers)
Deadlines for carrying out the project:
. Handing in the complete project: 19th of June 2009.
. Preparation of the workshop: July 2009 depending on what is required, at the museum installations.
. Running the workshop: around the first week in August 2009.
. Assessment and report: 31st of August 2009.
