The Chillida-Leku Museum has requested a temporary labor force adjustment plan and has agreed to close the museum starting on January 1, 2011. This decision is attributed to the recurring deficit that, along with practically all art museums, the museum has had to endure due to the general economic crisis which has risen to a level unsustainable for the private institution
The Chillida-Leku Museum offers various venues that can be hired out for activities such as conferences, work meetings, cultural and business receptions and banquets. These activities can always be rounded out with a private tour of the museum.
Auditorium + Patio
This area is ideal for small functions such as product presentations or press meetings. The auditorium can accommodate up to 50 people seated and is equipped with sound and lighting facilities. The patio area allows guests to enjoy the outdoors and beautiful landscape.
Zabalaga Farmhouse
16th century traditional Basque farmhouse. Museum divided into rooms which provide insight into Eduardo Chillida's work throughout his career. The ground floor has been used as a venue for important cultural events hosted by the Museum and other organizations. Accommodates between 175 - 200 people seated.
The Zabalaga Villa
English style villa located in area of Zabalaga not open to the public. Perfect venue for business gatherings.
Catering is available both inside the villa or in the garden area. Accommodates up to 170 people seated.
The closed-in porch provides a versatile space for different events.
