On the occasion of the 74th edition of the San Sebastián International Film Festival, the Pilar Room at Chillida Leku presents Kokoro no michi. Inari Küko’s Dream, an exhibition project accompanying the premiere of Kotodama, the Path of the Mirror, a work by Carla Cañellas and Eugenio Tardón that builds a bridge between Spain and Japan through their pilgrimage routes—the Camino de Santiago and the Shikoku Henro—and through the study of shodo, Japanese calligraphy.

The exhibition follows the journey of Inari Küko, an artist and fictional character who travels both paths in search of the meaning, origin and spirit of the word. Shodo, drawing, photography and video accompany a journey in which the protagonist encounters pilgrims, monks, artisans and calligraphers, inviting reflection on walking as a form of meditation and inner quest.

Inari Küko serves as the alter ego of Carla Cañellas and Eugenio Tardón, who bring their respective disciplines together in the project: art and cinematography. Thus, Kokoro no michi is conceived as a bridge between cultures, tradition and creation, where each stroke and each image invite reflection on the word, time and the search within.

The exhibition is curated by Susana Sanz Giménez.
