Lotura - inclusive education programme

An educational programme developed with the support of “La Caixa” Foundation through CaixaBank.

Lotura aims to build an emotional bond between the museum and organisations working with people at risk of social exclusion, and to make it a go-to space where they can feel at home.

Lotura is a space for meeting, learning and experimentation. Those taking part in the programme will have the opportunity to engage with art, to discover the
work of Eduardo Chillida and the place that houses his legacy, but they will also be able to get to know and experiment with different artistic disciplines under the guidance of local artists and creators.

Lotura consists of a programme of six sessions, each lasting one and a half or two hours, with activities tailored to the needs of each group.

1. Introduction and guided tour to Chillida Leku. Led by the Chillida Leku education team.
2. Lotura. Pottery workshop. Led by Eider Baile, artist, potter and educator.
3. The lines of the body. Movement workshop. Led by Myriam Perez, dancer and choreographer.
4. Cardboard blackboard. Art and creativity workshop. Led by Zorione Mendez, multidisciplinary artist and educator.
5. Lotura izan [Being unity]. Photography workshop. Led by Nagore Legarreta, photographer, multidisciplinary artist and educator.
6. Capturing the void. Art and architecture workshop. Led by Maushaus (Anabel Varona and Carlos Arruti, architects and educators)

Chillida Leku is the venue hosting this initiative, which brings together art, nature and wellbeing with the aim of improving sociability and strengthening collaboration with organisations and institutions that promote inclusion.
