Participatory Workshop Geltoki Bizia
Urban Fauna Resort
Art, science, citizenship
- Workshops
This activity is part of the Urban Fauna Resort project, an open call for the creation of art installations that serve as shelters for insects in the parks of Donostia.
Architects Maider de la Fuente and María Zufiaur will lead this workshop for families, alongside the team of biologists from Aranzadi. The work Geltoki bizia offers different species a place to rest and observe. Conceived as a living sculpture, it creates a space of stillness to highlight and bring attention to the tiny creatures that normally go unnoticed but inhabit and enrich the city.
Urban Fauna Resort is a collaboration between the Aranzadi Society of Sciences and the Chillida Leku Museum, and is part of the Biartekomugi project—a transformative experience that combines science, art, technology, active mobility, and citizen participation.
