This third and final sculpture in the Buscando la luz series displays different forms than its predecessors. In this work, Chillida inverts the dynamic he initiated with the Locmariaquer series. Whereas, in the majority of the Locmariaquer sculptures, the cut metal sheets double over inwards to concentrate in the interior space, each of the pieces in Buscando la luz III naturally open towards the sky. The sculpture comprises three elements arranged in a dialogue to form a harmonic triad, the energy of which is concentrated in the interior spaces that open up to facilitate a connection with the light.
