LIMINA. COSMOPOLITAN CHICKEN PROJECT 30
KOEN VANMECHELEN

17 October 2025 – 22 February 2026

On the occasion of the exhibition LIMINA Cosmopolitan Chicken Project 30 by artist Koen Vanmechelen, Chillida Leku launches its third Education Lab, a collaborative learning space that brings together art, education, and social action. In this edition, students from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of the Basque Country (EHU) and the École Supérieure d’Art Pays Basque (ESAPB) have collaborated in the design and production of an interactive experience aimed at bringing the exhibition closer to diverse audiences. Vanmechelen’s exhibition addresses challenges related to contemporary issues such as biodiversity, globalization, and the relationship between humans and nature.

Through a passport that includes a map and the design of playful and creative activities, this mediation proposal seeks to foster critical reflection on identity, diversity, and cultural exchange, promoting inclusive participation and intergenerational dialogue. It encourages active learning, transforming visitors into participants within the artistic narrative. Through creative expression, everyone who visits LIMINA becomes a co-creator of the exhibition experience.

This project has been made possible thanks to the support of the Euroregion EGTC New Aquitaine–Euskadi–Navarre. As part of the project, the Navarre Association Nuevo Futuro, dedicated to the defense of children’s rights, participates as a partner. Thanks to this collaboration, several groups of young people have the opportunity to enjoy a meaningful experience at the museum.
