Ciclo Musikene at Chillida Leku - Trío Fraduma

Once again this year Chillida Leku is hosting a series of concerts in collaboration with Musikene, the Basque Country's Higher Music Centre, as part of the agreement signed by the two institutions. In this way, the relationship that Eduardo Chillida's work has always had with music is highlighted. Both concerts will include the premieres of two works composed by Musikene composition students, thus contributing to contemporary creation and the dissemination of new musical proposals.

Fraduma Trio

The Fraduma Trio was formed at Musikene in 2024. It is the meeting of three musicians from three different countries: Valentine is from Toulouse, Gabriela from Toledo, and Jamie from Dublin. The combination of clarinet, flute, and guitar is quite rare. In fact, the repertoire for this ensemble is rather limited. That said, thanks to the rising popularity of the clarinet at the end of the Classical period and the curiosity of contemporary composers to write for less common combinations, some works for this ensemble have emerged.

The group’s goal is to bring their music to a wider audience and to different cities, concert halls, and cultural events, covering repertoire from various eras, from the Classical period to the present day.
