Musikene Series at Chillida Leku

 

Once again, Chillida Leku hosts a concert series in collaboration with Musikene, the Basque Country’s Higher School of Music, within the framework of the agreement signed by both institutions. This highlights the close relationship that Eduardo Chillida’s work has always had with music.

This program supports emerging young musicians and also offers a different approach to the sculptor’s work by incorporating new perspectives and ways of understanding sculpture and the space of Zabalaga, this time through sound.

Formed by the Mallorcan harpist María Francesa Salva (student of Christine Icart), the violist from Málaga David Lima (student of Josep Puchades), and the flutist from Agurain Koldo Armentia (student of Bruno Claverie), the trio has been developing continuous work in the field of chamber music since its formation in September 2025, under the guidance of Professor Gabriel Loidi. Their work focuses on the search for a distinctive sonic identity and on deepening the stylistic interpretation of the repertoire.
