Dance / Performance + Meeting with the artist. Amimona

Amimona is a dance-performance piece for two performers that combines movement, image and emotion in a 45-minute journey. On stage, the bodies dance and interact, exploring the memory of the Zabalaga farmhouse in Chillida Leku.

This space, steeped in human stories, becomes a mirror where echoes of the past unfold and emotions of the present are invited, paying tribute to untold stories.

The action begins with slow, repetitive gestures that evoke everyday tasks linked to rural life. Little by little, the performers transform, shedding physical and emotional layers to reveal states of tension and liberation.

The performers face the uncomfortable and the beautiful with honesty, opening a dialogue about vulnerability, connection and transformation. An invitation to remember and live intensely in the present moment, embracing who we are and who we have been.

‘Chillida Leku is an intimate place for me, with a very specific past, where the memories of my grandmother's life, her relatives and the other three families, all of them humble, who lived under the rent of a marquis until 1930 in the farmhouse that is now part of the museum, reside.’ Ane Zelaia
