Jazzaldia - Enric Peidro & Federico Mazzanti Duo
Enric Peidro & Federico Mazzanti Duo in concert
Saturday, 25 July, at 7.30 pm
- Summer 2026
A stand-out tenor saxophonist on the European traditional Jazz scene today, Enric Peidro is one of the most internationally renowned musicians of his generation. Influenced by the great
tenor saxophonists of the swing era (Coleman Hawkins, Ben Webster, Paul Gonsalves, Flip Phillips), Enric Peidro has, within the parameters of this tradition, evolved in his own special way,
forging a distinctive voice that has earned him the acclaim of critics and audiences alike. He has performed at countless festivals and on stages across Europe and Asia.
Son of saxophonist Jose Ignacio Mazzanti, a member of the legendary Porteña Jazz Band, from Argentina, Federico Mazzanti grew up with Jazz all around him, and at a very young age was already gracing stages in Buenos Aires as a pianist. In his long and successful career as a musician, he has reached audiences far and wide, internationally. He stands out for a style that is subtle and refined, always deftly loaded with that special swing touch.
